Harry O’Neill provided a personal briefing on the unique approach of Partners Group (PG). The Swiss-based investor is involved in private equity, where PG buys a stake in a specific company, along with which comes a say in the operations of the target. This could be in the form of a seat on the board. Private equity is different to simply buying shares in a company, which is how a managed fund operates. PG pays attention to corporate governance, which is an ethics-based approach to investing.
