Sebastian Mallaby, international financial writer, invited Bruce to attend the Sydney Writers Festival. Bruce had the benefit of private discussions with Sebastian, whose book, ‘The Man Who Knew’, about ex-Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan won the Financial Times and McKinsey Business Book of the Year Award. Bruce also heard and met Pulitzer Prize winner and financial columnist Tom Friedman at the Festival.
