Bruce attended a presentation by Walter Scott representatives, Roy Leckie and Paul Loudon visiting from Edinburgh. Walter Scott focuses on investing in international shares. Roy provided new perspectives on Walter Scott’s process which emphasise ‘patient, research-driven’ investing and how the firm gives employees time to reflect on investment markets though ‘Stop and Think Time’. Paul provided interesting insights into opportunities in health care, energy and technology companies and on the importance of how the ‘ethics’ of a firm is extremely important in their selection criteria. Bruce’s association with Walter Scott dates back over 12 years.
